The Planning Process

Inventory:



Step Two calls for conducting an inventory of existing conditions and listing the people and resources that would or would not be available in the redevelopment process.


At this stage the planner:

  • Data is gathered

  • Facts concerning the area are detailed

  • Existing conditions are listed

  • Regulations concerning the area are studied

  • People are recruited

  • The history of the area is studied

  • A theoretical basis for redeveloping the area is established
